Facilitating the workshop is Sam Kyakilika, a Technical Programme Manager who currently works with Google in London, UK.
Sam Kyakilika did his B.Eng in Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Telecoms) at the University of Zambia (UNZA) and his MSc in Advanced Control Engineering at University of Manchester (UMIST). He worked at Copperbelt Energy mainly in telecommunications operational and project roles before leaving for the UK in 2004, where he worked for DANTE Limited as a network engineer. He then worked for a few months at Network Rail as a Transmission Design engineer, before going to work with Google in Dublin, Ireland as a Project Manager in Network Deployments.
He is now working with Google in the London, UK as a Technical Programme Manager for the Site Reliability Engineering Team – which is the team in charge of making sure that Google Adsense, Adwords and other advertising platforms are available to our users worldwide.

His other interests include parallel systems, clusters, cloud computing and .. abit of robotics.
